Nanotech Energy Raises More Than $3M in Funding Round

Nanotech Energy Inc., a West Los Angeles company that produces microscopic supercapacitors for smartphones and biomedical devices, on April 3 raised more than $3 million in investment funding. The company founded by physician-entrepreneur Dr. Jack Kavanaugh and two UCLA scientists sold $3.4 million in securities to 29 investors during a $4-million stock offering, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
